The YP Foundation (The YP Foundation) is a youth-run and youth-led organization that enables young people to create programmes and influence policies in the areas of gender, sexuality, health, education, the arts and governance. The organization promotes, protects and advances young people’s human rights by increasing their access to information and services, building feminist leadership, and strengthening youth-led initiatives and movements.
Founded in 2002, The YP Foundation has since worked directly with 8,500 young people to set up multiple projects in India, reaching out to 750,000 children, adolescents and young people between 9-35 years of age. During this time period, the organization has developed expertise in 6 areas i.e. AYSRHR (Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), Life Skills, Masculinities, Gender Based violence and Feminist Leadership.
Over the years, The YP Foundation has expanded horizons in reimagining social structures, dismantling normative beliefs and challenging stereotypical behaviors. The YP Foundation strives to deeply and consistently invest in developing young people’s feminist leadership, amplify their voice and agency to challenge the status quo, and create platforms for them to represent themselves so that they will directly influence policy making.
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for implementation of planned activities within the organization’s Communications strategy to ensure effective representation of the work in different spaces, organizing campaigns and public events and

Implement TYPF’s communications strategy, inclusive of monitoring and evaluation, to enhance TYPFs relationship with external audiences, partners, media and donors

Co-develop and implement issue-specific social media campaigns, manage TYPF’s website and curate TYPF’s social media platforms

Develop and disseminate publications such as newsletters and programmatic IEC materials
-
Onboarding and leading the consultants in design, and production of the audio-visual resources created for the organization.

Representing TYPF’s values, brand and identity to external stakeholders on various platforms and forums
-
Facilitating capacity and perspective development sessions on gender, sexuality, campaigning strategies etc. with young people in various programmes.

Manage content and design for all thematic and network websites

Creating documents and reports that clearly state the progress of the programme goals, including insights, data, feedback and testimonials from the implementation

Troubleshooting issues and challenges on a day-to-day basis while implementing the activities/ tasks

Compiling and designing the organization’s Annual Report
Due Diligence, Monitoring and Evaluation

Writing and compiling due diligence reports and periodic updates for other staff, senior management and the organisation’s board.

Supporting evaluation activities to test the efficacy of communication tools and campaigns launched.
Fundraising and Project finances

Support in creating annual budgets and plans for the Communications vertical.

Effective and timely utilization of planned budgets for the assigned activities.

Support fundraising activities for organizational plans
Eligibility
-
Graduate from a recognized university in any field
-
3-5 years of total prior experience working on communications, campaigns and engaging with external stakeholders, on thematics relating to gender, sexuality, masculinities, violence, SRHR
-
Technical experience in managing website production, maintenance and curation
-
Experience in creating audio-visual interactive resources for public engagement purposes with young people
-
Ability to multi-task and manage partnerships
-
High level of proficiency in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
-
Proficiency in using web-based and MS Office applications for key communication, documentation and institutional and programmatic processes.

Basic knowledge of design tools like Canva, Photoshop, video & photo editing softwares
-
Experienced in written documentation and writing reports, case studies, stories of change, media briefs and creating and editing programme-based content
Desirable, but not necessary skills may include

Prior experience of research, writing of external facing documents such as briefs, position papers, articles or statements.
Salary Scale: 35,000-55,000 INR/month INR Per Month (CTC) based on experience, skills and organisational salary scales.
