Shruti has an undergraduate degree in English and a postgraduate degree in Gender Studies. Her area of interest includes feminism(s) and the politics of sexuality in relation to patriarchy. She has experience of working on Gender, Sexuality and Education with Nirantar- A Centre for Gender and Education. Her contribution included conducting perspective building trainings and courses, writing manuals and carrying out researches. She has also been part of various campaigns, and activist and advocacy forums to understand, engage and voice on issues like street sexual harassment, moral policing and the control over women and trans people's mobility in public spaces; legal reforms on sexual violence (post-2012 rape case in Delhi) and the need for sexuality education with a feminist understanding.
