Vinita Sahasranaman | Director of Programmes & Advocacy



Vinita has worked on issues of gender, sexuality and human rights for the last 12 years. She has worked with community based, women-led organizations to build grassroots feminist leadership. Vinita comes with experience on training, research and campaigning on issues related to sexuality and violence against marginalized women. She has previously worked with CREA, CARE India and as an independent consultant. She is deeply interested in learning from the power of social movements and how they lead to long-lasting social change. Vinita graduated with an Honours Degree in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University and obtained a Masters Degree in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
