The YP Foundation (The YP Foundation) is a youth-run and youth-led organization that enables young people to create programmes and influence policies in the areas of gender, sexuality, health, education, the arts and governance. The organization promotes, protects and advances young people’s human rights by increasing their access to information and services, building feminist leadership, and strengthening youth-led initiatives and movements.
Founded in 2002, The YP Foundation has since worked directly with 8,500 young people to set up multiple projects in India, reaching out to 750,000 children, adolescents and young people between 9-35 years of age. During this time period, the organization has developed expertise in 6 areas i.e. AYSRHR (Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), Life Skills, Masculinities, Gender Based violence and Feminist Leadership.
Over the years, The YP Foundation has expanded horizons in reimagining social structures, dismantling normative beliefs and challenging stereotypical behaviors. The YP Foundation strives to deeply and consistently invest in developing young people’s feminist leadership, amplify their voice and agency to challenge the status quo, and create platforms for them to represent themselves so that they will directly influence policy making.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Management
The Programme Lead will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the thematic in Jharkhand and Delhi, focusing on young feminist rights, leadership, and the empowerment of adolescent girls. Key responsibilities include:

Designing, planning, and implementing programme activities to achieve set targets and outcomes within agreed timelines, in collaboration with partners and donors.

Supporting programmatic growth by contributing to resource mobilization efforts, including proposal development and fundraising for the programme.

Building and managing collaborations with individuals, experts, organizations, and grassroots groups to enhance programmatic activities and achieve objectives.

Managing project finances, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, and overseeing financial reporting in adherence to organizational systems.

Collaborating with programme partners, expert consultants, and internal teams (research & knowledge, Dialogue, capacity building, communications, and finance) to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Developing and implementing a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework and tools to assess programme progress and impact.

Writing and compiling due diligence reports, periodic updates, and other documentation for internal stakeholders, donors, and the organization’s board.

Creating programme resources, curricula, and reports to support activities and outcomes.

Addressing conflicts or issues raised by the community in accordance with established protocols.

Working with the communications team to publicize programme activities, impact, and achievements, aligning with TYPF’s communication strategy.
Team Management and Development
The Programme Lead will lead and mentor a team of coordinators, associates and fellows to achieve programmatic goals. Responsibilities include:

Recruiting, training, and managing team members to ensure effective programme delivery.

Providing mentorship and guidance to team members to support their professional growth and development.

Setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback to team members.

Upholding organizational culture and fostering a positive, inclusive, and healthy work environment.
Organizational Development
The Programme Lead will contribute to the growth and strengthening of TYPF’s institutional systems and processes, with responsibilities such as:

Supporting the implementation and monitoring of organizational systems and processes.

Representing TYPF and the Respective Programme at external platforms, including Dialogue events, collaborative initiatives, training sessions, and policy engagement processes.

Showcasing programme impact and organizational achievements to stakeholders and partners.
Salary Scale:
55,000-75,000 INR Per Month (CTC) based on experience, skills and organisational salary scales.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Criteria:

Graduate degree from a recognised University in any field.

5-7 years of prior experience in capacity-building programmes on SRHR and Gender that engage young people and adolescents
-
Language(s): High level of proficiency in English and Hindi (written and spoken)

Proficiency in using web-based and MS Office applications for key communication, documentation and institutional and programmatic processes.

Experienced in written documentation and writing reports, case studies, stories of change, media briefs and creating and editing program-based content.

Proven excellent organizational and administrative skills, having led a team of people in managerial capacities.

Demonstrated experience of leading teams and managing budgets and expenditure.

Experience of networking with government bodies, partners, grant makers and civil society organisations, and a wide range of companies, partners and donors at local, national and international levels.
