Manasa graduated with a MSc. in Gender and Media Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, London and went on to work with IT for Change, Bangalore in the field of Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D). Manasa has specialized in working on issues of social justice in an Internet-mediated world such as Net Neutrality, mass surveillance, freedom of expression, privacy, intellectual property, openness, intermediary liability etc., towards the democratisation of the global Internet. As a fellow of the National Internet Exchange of India, she has also participated in the global multi-stakeholder meeting ‘NetMundial’ 2014 that took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, as well as the World Social Forum, Tunisia in 2015. Manasa is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights Law at the National Law School of India, University, Bangalore. She now looks forward to refocusing on issues of gender, and working closely with young leaders on issues of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights at The YP Foundation.
