Apar studied at Amity Law School, Delhi, and Columbia Law School, New York. He has worked at Karanjawala & Co. and was a partner at Advani and Co. from 2012 to 2015. Apar set up a private practice in March 2015. He also has represented government bodies and been on the panel of the Union of India and the Controller of Certifying Authorities. He has authored a book on the Information Technology Act, presently in its second edition. He is deeply engaged in the formation of Technology Law and Policy, being retained as the counsel for the Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). Apar has been listed by Forbes India magazine in its list of “30 under 30” for his work in the media and technology sector. he has written columns for the Indian Express, Pioneer, Business Standard, the Caravan and others.
